Letter Hearth and Education

At the center of Hearth's mission to end elder homelessness lies the desire to see both clients and staff achieve their highest degrees of potential.

To this end, Hearth encourages and facilitates training and education for staff whenever possible.  Hearth's staff is also augmented by a number of students and interns each semester in the fields of nursing, physical therapy, and social work.  They come from Boston University, Northeastern University, Simmons College, and Salem State College.

The goal of Hearth and Education is to highlight the many ways Hearth is committed to improving the quality of care for frail elders by promoting education for staff and for future health care workers.  Here you will find articles about the various education opportunities for Hearth's staff as well as first-hand accounts of our student interns' experiences.
