golf tournament logo12th Annual FORE ... the Elders! Golf Tournament

The 2005 tournament--held, as always, at William J. Devine Golf Course in Franklin Park--was accompanied by very warm, humid conditions, but that didn't stop the golfers from thoroughly enjoying themselves.

The Winners

The competition for best team score was intense, with only two points separating first and second place for the men's teams, and an impressive coed score of ten below par for first place. The team winners are as follows:
Coed's 1st Place:   Team Wainwright Bank
Coed's 2nd Place:   Team Claire Buick
Men's 1st Place:   Team Horwitz
Men's 2nd Place:   Team Fedex Trade Networks
Women's 1st Place:   Team Dodds
Women's 2nd Place:   Team Dwyer

Winners of the individual contests include the notable hole in one by Hearth board member Sue Forti. It was Sue's first hole in one, and the news traveled quickly around the course. Even luckier for Sue, she made her hole-in-one on the contest hole for Women's Closest to the Pin. Her prize: a trip to Puerto Rico. Congratulations, Sue!

Men's Longest Drive:   Kevin Altham
Women's Longest Drive:   Kristen Buckley
Men's Closest to the Pin:   Panama
Women's Closest to the Pin:   Sue Forti
